About this template
The Weekly Status Update is a centralised, simple documented designed to provide a high level update against each audit and other activity within the audit team. The template includes:
- Update against each audit of the annual plan;
- Update against any management initiated reviews;
- Update on any action items in the team; and
- Update of KPIs.
The template is designed in PowerPoint so that audit teams can present the document and also share easily via video conference.
Why use this template
Its important that audit teams are aware of what is currently happening across the team. By using this tempalte on a weekly basis, all audit team members are able to provide an udpate, helping management to understand the current status of all audits, or to proactively address any emerging issues.
When to use this template
This template should be used on a weekly or fortnigthly basis (depending on the size of your team).
Things to be careful about
Documentation and evidence is the backbone of everything we do as auditors. Be sure to keep a record of these Weekly Status Updates as they can be valuable should any issues arise.
